2. How do I subscribe to automatic email updates?
To subscribe to email updates, please follow these steps:
Step 1
Log into your myTSN account that you created by registering.
Step 2
Choose the types of updates you want to subscribe to by selecting the checkboxes at the bottom of the Change your details page.
Make sure your email address is correct.
Click Update to save your selections.
Step 3
Choose the industry you wish to receive updates about by selecting the checkboxes on the Choose your purchasing guides page.
Click Update to save your selections.
You will receive an email notification of the updates you selected when they occur.
3. How do I search for curriculum?
To search for curriculum:
You can also find the curriculum on the Training Support Network website by accessing the Curriculum menu item on the left of screen.
This will provide a list of all courses and allow you to filter the list by Certificate level and/or CMM area.
4. How do I find nominal hours for a qualification or a unit?
You can find the nominal hours for a qualification, or a unit, by using the advanced search link and searching for the qualification or unit code in purchasing guides.
Once you have found the relevant purchasing guide you can use the find functionality to locate the nominal hours within the purchasing guide.
5. Where do I find training packages?
Training packages are not available from the Training Support Network website.
Training.gov.au provides access to training packages training.gov.au.
The Training Support Network website provides access to Victorian Purchasing Guides that support the implementation of training packages in Victoria.
6. How do I open ZIP files?
Some downloadable products in their original non-zipped formats are quite large and take a very long time to download. When those files are compressed into zip files they take far less time to download. Winzip is a program commonly used to create and 'unzip' zipped files. Zipped files have the extension *.zip.
You will need to follow certain steps to unzip a zipped file.
You will find within the unzipped file, some more files which can be downloaded. In this case they may be Word or Powerpoint files. If so, just double click on the file to open it.
Some files have the extension *.pdf. In order to download PDF files to your computer, you will need to have the free Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. Once you have acrobat installed, you may save any PDF file to your local drive.
