The main drivers for Manufacturing Skills Australia (MSA) in developing the Sustainable Operations qualifications and units of competency has been the very strong interest shown by both industry and RTOs through special workshops and conferences that MSA has convened on sustainability, as well as consultations and research undertaken by MSA and its consultants. Through these processes it has been identified that industry in the future will require skills in a number of sustainability related areas. The new qualifications in the Sustainability Training Package meet these needs.
